Tour Coordinator (Full-time Position)

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for working with step on guide clients, convention clients and receptive tour groups.   This includes interacting with the client by phone/e-mail, designing custom itineraries, producing proposals, securing the business and sending out contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop on-going relationships with clients and promote our services
  • Design programs/itineraries and send out proposals
  • Follow up with clients and do what is necessary to secure the business
  • Book hotels, coaches, ferries etc where required
  • Prepare and send contracts
  • Collection of payment from clients in a timely fashion
  • Any other responsibilities that are deemed necessary


Qualifications:

  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accurate in all aspects of work
  • Knowledge of the tour market an asset
  • Motivation & ability to work independently as well as a strong team player
  • Effective communication skills
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional manner and appearance with a positive attitude
